We’re delighted and proud to announce that Avanti Freewheelers Community Cycling Club is now up and running.

The Avanti Cycling Trust CIC, a registered charity, has teamed up with a number of the UK’s top cycle training and coaching organisations, individual coaches, ride leaders and volunteers to bring young people something rather special; a community cycling club just for you, in fact YOUR club.

Avanti Freewheelers Community Cycling Club is a club for juniors who want to learn to ride, want to improve their riding skills, learn a new cycling discipline or who want to take their riding to a new and exciting level. It’s all about developing new skills and having fun adventures under the guidance of qualified coaches, instructors and guides. 

The club is a great place for young people to meet their friends and make new ones whilst developing and refining skills that will last a lifetime. It’ll be local too and our first active club will be based in Reading with further clubs coming throughout 2021 to Didcot, Oxford and Milton Keynes.

Our main focus is those aged 12 to 16 but we’ll also be running events for the younger rider ages 7 to 11 and there will be family orientated events too, and especially for the younger riders not just cycling related. Face painting anyone?
