Avanti Freewheelers Community Cycling Clubs

The Avanti Cycling Trust CIC, a registered charity, has teamed up with a number of the UK’s top cycle training and coaching organisations, individual coaches, ride leaders and volunteers to bring young people something rather special; a community cycling club just for you, in fact YOUR club.

Avanti Freewheelers Community Cycling Clubs are clubs for juniors who want have fun on their cycles, who want to learn to ride, want to improve their riding skills, maybe try a new cycling discipline or who want to take their riding to a new and exciting level. It’s all about having fun adventures and developing new skills under the guidance of qualified coaches, instructors and guides.

Your club is a great place to meet your friends and make new ones whilst developing and refining skills that will last a lifetime. It’s local too and we’ve an active club based in Reading and new ones coming soon to Didcot, Oxford and Milton Keynes.

Our main focus is those aged 12* to 16 (*includes those year 7 secondary school pupils aged 11) but we’ll also be running events for the younger rider ages 7 to 11 and there will be family orientated events too, and especially for the younger riders not just cycling related. Face painting anyone?

Most kids left their bike in the backyard at night. Not me. I insisted on taking mine indoors and the first night I even kept it in my bed.”
